By using ServiceMyPole.org ("the Site"), you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Site.
ServiceMyPole.org is a civic engagement platform operated by Chris Justin for LPSC District 1 ("the Campaign"). It allows users to submit photos of utility poles, receive automated visual assessments, rate submissions, and view aggregated data about utility infrastructure conditions. The Site is an advocacy and informational tool, not an engineering service.
Ownership: You retain copyright and ownership of any photos you submit. By submitting a photo, you grant the Campaign a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to use, display, reproduce, and distribute your submission for campaign, advocacy, media, and educational purposes. This license survives the termination of the campaign.
Your warranty: By submitting content, you represent that (a) you took the photo or have the right to share it, (b) the photo does not infringe any third party's intellectual property or privacy rights, (c) the photo accurately depicts a real utility pole and is not manipulated to misrepresent its condition, and (d) the content does not contain illegal, obscene, hateful, threatening, or harassing material.
Indemnification: You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Campaign and its operators from any claims arising from content you submit, including intellectual property infringement, privacy violations, or misrepresentation.
The following types of submissions will be rejected and may result in your access being restricted:
We use automated AI moderation and manual review to enforce these standards. Decisions are at our sole discretion.
THE AUTOMATED POLE CONDITION ASSESSMENTS PROVIDED BY THIS SITE ARE FOR INFORMATIONAL AND ADVOCACY PURPOSES ONLY. They are generated by an AI model analyzing a single photograph and are not professional engineering inspections, structural evaluations, or safety certifications.
The assessments reference published national standards (OSHA, NESC, ANSI) as a framework, but they are not endorsed by, affiliated with, or equivalent to evaluations performed under those standards by qualified inspectors.
Do not rely on these assessments for safety-critical decisions, maintenance planning, structural adequacy determinations, or any purpose that could affect the safety of persons or property. If you believe a utility pole poses an immediate safety risk, contact your utility company or local emergency services.
The Site and its operators make no warranty of accuracy, completeness, or fitness for any particular purpose. You assume all risk associated with your use of the assessment information.
THE SITE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE CAMPAIGN AND ITS OPERATORS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY DIRECT, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR SPECIAL DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SITE, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO DAMAGES ARISING FROM RELIANCE ON AI ASSESSMENTS, LOSS OF DATA, OR INTERRUPTION OF SERVICE.
If you believe content on this Site infringes your copyright, please send a written notice to media@votechrisjustin.com with:
We will review and respond to valid notices within 14 business days.
We also reserve the right to remove any submission at any time, for any reason, without notice.
Community ratings are informal expressions of opinion. They are not engineering assessments. Attempts to manipulate ratings through automated tools, multiple accounts, or coordinated inauthentic behavior may result in removal of votes and restriction of access.
Your use of the Site is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Louisiana. Any disputes arising from your use of the Site shall be resolved in the courts of Louisiana.
We may update these Terms at any time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the Site after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
